We are doers when it comes to recycling
Hydrovolt is a battery recycling and raw materials company established in 2020. By pioneering battery recycling of EVs and industrial batteries, we create a circular solution for end-of-life batteries by producing high quality and sustainable secondary raw materials.
Hydrovolt develops processes and technology that increase the proportion of materials recovered by recycling, mainly from EV and industrial batteries.
Our purpose is to accelerate the transition to a circular world by ensuring no battery is ever wasted. That’s why we pioneer a circular recycling process with enhanced safety and high quality made possible through innovative processes and partnerships.
We do this because we aim to deliver the most sustainable secondary raw materials back to manufacturing processes through urban mining and recycling, enabling a truly circular battery value chain.
The result is greener batteries made possible through secondary raw materials, recycled again and again and again, produced at the same high-quality as a new battery.
Together with our people, process and plants, we solve three challenges – reducing waste, reducing emissions and increasing access to critical raw materials locally in Europe.
Because at Hydrovolt, we create solutions. We turn waste into value. We develop new competence. We store energy. We enable clean electrification. We shape industry, and we establish green jobs.
Together as one, we solve the energy transition. By producing sustainable secondary raw materials for a circular world, we also shape a greener world.
We lead the way. We live to learn. And, we do it right.
Again and again, and again.
Hydrovolt represents a milestone in Norway’s journey towards widespread electric transportation. As our energy systems and manufacturing processes in Europe becomes increasingly dependent on batteries and its raw materials, we need to ensure a sustainable solution as batteries reach end-of-life. That’s why Hydrovolt exists.
